Daikin has recently supplied an air-cooled screw inverter chiller from the TZ range to a prestigious medical clinic in Italy. The project aimed at refurbishing the cooling plant, with an efficient, reliable, and immediate solution.

CHALLENGE & SOLUTIONS
As part of a mechanical upgrading project, the hospital decided to rely on Daikin's experience and made-in-Italy products, to make the cooling plant as reliable and efficient as possible.
For this project the customer needed a solution ensuring reliability and durability despite 24/7 operations, high seasonal efficiency to meet both energy efficiency and environmental sustainability targets, ease of maintenance, and easy integration with the existing plant through the control solution.
The unit supplied to meet all of the mentioned needs was a chiller from the TZ Series
Regarding efficiency, Daikin managed to meet the requirements of the project thanks to a solution that takes advantage of the Inverter technology and ensures the best performance, regardless of the cooling demand of the building.
Thanks to the inverter technology, the TZ chillers installed will be able to match the different load requirements, in any circumstances. The Inverter will continuously modulate the speed of the compressor’s motor, ensuring excellent capacity control, providing outstanding part load efficiency values, and substantial energy savings.
Besides reliability, then, Daikin has ensured integrability with the existing system thanks to the Daikin control iCM, which will allow the chiller to effectively communicate with all third-party components in the system.
As far as monitoring of the system, Daikin on Site has been included in the offer by Daikin, supporting facility managers with their jobs.
Daikin On Site (DoS) is a remote monitoring tool, that can provide 24/7 real-time data, all year round, tracking chiller plant operations and their correct functionality. All this is to allow plant owners to take preventive actions and avoid extra costs associated with breakdowns and downtime.
